Short version: we collect nothing. Your files stay on your Mac.
.md file to your disk.
Nothing. MarkyMarkdown collects no personal data, no usage statistics, no crash reports, and no analytics of any kind.
When you drag a file onto MarkyMarkdown, the following happens — entirely on your Mac:
.md output file to the same directory.Your files are never uploaded, never copied to a server, and never seen by anyone other than you.
MarkyMarkdown makes zero network requests at any time — not on launch, not during conversion, not in the background. You can verify this with a network monitor such as Little Snitch or Wireshark.
There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no telemetry of any kind in MarkyMarkdown. No third-party code runs inside the app.
MarkyMarkdown does not require an account and does not support creating one. There is no sign-in, no subscription, and no registration of any kind.
Because no personal data is collected at all, MarkyMarkdown does not require any special handling under children's privacy regulations (COPPA, GDPR-K, etc.).
If this privacy policy ever changes, the update will be committed to the public GitHub repository. You can watch the repository or check the commit history at any time:
